Shoulder Pain
We look at the scapula, neck and thoracic spine to understand shoulder mechanics as a system.
The chain behind shoulder pain
The shoulder is anchored to the rib cage and mid-back. If the thoracic spine is stiff or the nervous system is guarding, the shoulder blade can't glide and the joint pinches. We assess the neck, mid-back and rib movement the shoulder quietly depends on.
It all runs through one system: your nervous system reads the chain of fascia, muscles and ligaments and decides how you move, brace and feel pain. Change the input, and the output changes.
We don't guess. In your visit we test movement, strength and how your nervous system is loading the whole chain — foot to skull — to uncover the weak areas and determine the true root of the issue. Then we build your plan around exactly what we find.
With shoulder pain, where it shows up isn't always where it starts.
Your shoulder blade glides on the ribcage and is wired through the neck. Shoulder pain often traces back to a stiff mid-back, irritated neck, or a broken cross-body sling to the opposite hip.
Assessment & treatment paths
These connections are starting points for discussion — not guaranteed diagnoses. Your plan is always built from an individual assessment.
